INVERTERS
An inverter is an electronic circuit that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). Inverters are used in a wide range of applications, from small switching power supplies in computers, to large electric utility applications that transport bulk power.TDH VISIONS consume and supply both the Modified Sine Wave (MSW) and True Sine Wave (TSW).The inverter is so named because it performs the opposite function of a rectifier.
Used in variety of PV and DC Power applications, following are some of the basic examples:
- DC power source utilization
- AC output for your DC powered Solar Power System of any kind and purpose
- Uninterruptible power supplies
- High-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission
- Variable-frequency drives
- Electric vehicle drives
- Induction heatingq
Grid connect inverters are supply driven - they provide all the power supplied from a DC source to the grid or mains. Grid connect inverters are usually optimised for one specific type of generator, e.g. PV and generally operate at a higher DC voltage than stand alone inverters.
Stand alone, or battery supplied, inverters are demand driven - they provide any power or current up to the rating of the inverter and assuming that there is enough energy in the battery.
Typical applications include:
- Automotive
- Industrial
- Renewable Energy Telecom
- Marine
- Military
